While RISD does not offer a residential program, our after-school offerings provide opportunities for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students to build essential skills for personal and academic success. These programs focus on fostering confident social interactions, improving communication access, and promoting independence. Through structured activities and support, students develop accountability, gain leadership experience, and cultivate important life skills that prepare them for future challenges. Our after-school programs are designed to empower students not only in their academic growth but also in building the self-assurance and resilience needed to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
