Parent Infant Partners Program
A family-centered early intervention program at the Rhode Island School for the Deaf
The Parent Infant Partner Program is a family-based program serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing children from birth to age three, in collaboration with Early Intervention agencies across Rhode Island.
PIPP offers both home-based services and a welcoming center-based classroom, where families attend two to three times a week. Our program provided a fully accessible bilingual and bimodal environment, supporting both sign and spoken/written language development.
We focus on empowering families to create language-rich experiences at home and in the community. Through coaching and support, we help families build confidence and competence in supporting their child’s development.
Most importantly, PIPP fosters meaningful connections. Families and children have regular opportunities for direct interaction with Deaf and Hard of Hearing peers and adults, as well as other families navigating similar experiences.
