Building everyone’s capacity to serve deaf and hard of hearing students wherever they learn, in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

Our Services

Observation of students and identification of classroom and curricular modifications to better support students in the mainstream

- Assistance in the proper care and use of hearing assistive technology (HAT), as well as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and bone-anchored hearing devices

- Consultative audiology

- Educational psychology: assessment and testing

- Communication choices and language learning resources

- Specialized speech-language pathology services

- Introduction to American Sign Language

- School counseling tailored to students with hearing loss

- Professional development on basic audiology and assistive technology, understanding complex issues that students with hearing loss face every day at school, and building teacher capacity to serve deaf and hard of hearing children in a regular classroom is offered to school faculty and staff who work with children with differing hearing levels. These PD sessions can be tailored to staff time available
